I shot this one for the light alone — Monarch Beach catches the last of the day dead-on, with the fairway rolling toward the ocean and Catalina sitting right on the horizon. The property sits inside the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach grounds, so the brief was really about capturing that resort feel: golf course on one side, open water on the other, and a deck built for exactly this kind of sunset.
